‍ ‍QA about our Time Together

  • ‍Mom set the Mood : Think light, bright, Earth tones. Think texture; chunky sweaters, pleated skirts, linen shirts, cozy sweaters matched with Jeans. Textures can add all sorts of layers to an image. NO HATS

    If we are shooting indoors - go lighter and brighter. For outdoor sessions, try for more earth tones.

    • Denim is always a winner for me. A denim shirt with a long bright skirt. Jeans and a white t-shirt or jumper. Denim on your little ones with a simple plain t-shirt. A denim dress with a colored scarf. 

    • Steer clear of logos or text. Avoid too many lines or polka dots. A beautiful long dress with a flower or animal print is really pretty. 

    • While I do love seeing similar color tones and palettes, it is really fun and interesting to mix patterns and designs.

    • Coordinate but Don’t match! Choose a palette of maybe 2 or 3 colors. 

    • Clothes that move and flow will add an exciting element to our gallery; long maxi dresses, long skirts, a heavy overcoat.

    • I love getting to style sessions with you. We can go back and forth via text - just shoot me some photos of what you are working with and I am happy to help!.

  • Marin County is a photographer’s dream — golden hills, coastal light, and wide-open spaces that make every family photo session feel effortless and timeless. I’ve photographed families all across Marin and the Bay Area,

    A few tips before venturing out, on what to bring; a blanket, layers, a few toys, bring bubbles,

    1. Cavallo Point – Iconic Marin with a View of San Francisco. Nestled just beneath the Golden Gate Bridge in Sausalito, it’s the perfect blend of nature and city — open grassy fields, tall eucalyptus trees, and sweeping views that stretch from the Marin Headlands to the San Francisco skyline.

    2. Ring Mountain, Tiburon – Golden Hills and Panoramic Views Ring Mountain is one of my go-to Marin gems for its endless beauty and quiet charm. The rolling hills glow at golden hour, and the sweeping views of the Bay, San Francisco, and Mount Tamalpais are breathtaking.

    3. Blackie’s Pasture, Tiburon – Classic Marin Charm Blackie’s Pasture is pure Marin magic. It’s easy to get to, kid-friendly, and has such a beautiful mix of open space, big trees, and waterfront views. Families love it because it feels comfortable and familiar.

    4. Point Reyes – Windswept, Wild, and Worth the Drive Point Reyes has a special kind of wild beauty — rugged cliffs, tall grass, and soft, cinematic light. Every session feels like a scene from a movie. It’s perfect for families who love adventure and don’t mind a bit of wind and texture in their photos.

    5. China Camp State Park – Bay Views & Rustic Charm‍ ‍‍ ‍China Camp is a quiet little gem with water views, oak trees, and a rustic pier that looks beautiful in every season. It’s perfect for families who want variety — beach, trails, and forest all within walking distance.

    6. Marinwood Community Park – Easy, Local & Kid-Friendly For families with littles, Marinwood Park is one of my favorite local hidden gems. It’s simple, accessible, and always has gorgeous pockets of light. The open grass and trees make it easy to keep kids happy and moving while capturing natural, candid moments

  • This is Northern California with Blue Sky’s, white fluffy clouds and light winds.

    So, its Truly any time of day — the light is beautiful from sunrise to sunset

    My favorite time is the Golden hour or sunset for that warm California light ( Late afternoon to early evening)

  • $100 non-refundable retainer required to hold each session. I will send out a Venmo or PayPal request once you book to hold the spot. If you need to cancel the session, please email me as opposed to canceling the booking. I will happily deduct the $100 from any future session.

  • Full hour sessions give us lots more time to play around, find more backdrops, even an outfit change for you

  • A Travel Fee of $100.00 for East and South Bay

    Travel fee for San Jose, Walnut Creek, Oakland, Napa and Sonoma is $175.00

    There is no travel fee within Marin County (up to Novato on the North, Fairfax on the West) and the entire San Francisco.

    Plan the time of day to do the photo shot,

  • Yes, home is where the heart is for all.

    The majority of my family/newborn shots are on a bed or sofa next to a window or door. Natural light is my best friend! Open all the curtains and blinds to let in as much light as possible. 

    You don’t need to rearrange the whole house. I use maybe 2 or 3 spots in your home.  I will always try to use as much natural light as possible so someplace close to a window works wonderfully.

    I love shots of your little one(s) on a carpet or blanket on the floor - a quick vacuum over a bright or light rug will do the trick!

    A light or bright bedspread or bed sheet is awesome for a family shoot.

    I will take multiple combinations of you all on the bed or sofa.

    That's it. keep it natural, keep it simple.

Our time together is all about YOU. To be efficient, together will Pre-plan the Shoot to save the you time.‍ I want to put you at ease and allow you to express who you are & love to reflect. Ladies bring 2 favorite outfits/Men bring 2 Shirt / Ties / Blazer/ for our Session. Your Outdoor Favorites: Beaches, Forests, Lakes, & Parks or Backyard ‍The Studio Shoots take place in a third party studio or at Home, by the Fireplace, Front Porch, or agreed location
